Eyes Turned Inward

The film has finally returned
to sheathe my eyes,
filter the figments of the world,
and make this sparsely colored landscape

our stories never told

my love for you a giant with hands the size of sky's in massive boots you walk my thoughts and leave behind footprints deep as oceans i write a thousand stories starring you,starring me,on horseback across deserts in large quilted beds on the edge of the canyons you stomp out for us or falling out of gods hands into piles of autumn leaves In these stories.. you love me grand we rush through everything we dance out of highs On horseback,covered in leaves wrapped in quilts resting against massive thumbs we nod along the melody of time passing and smile at long steady winds we are whirlwinds. hurrying. frantic. throughout our rapture but still take that minute more to fall into love's wide open mouth

Where God touches sky you pry my eyes away
to play upon an evidence of a beauty transcendent.

Ploughing

The living flesh of the field

And the feeling will come again, wary, alive

This day shall flee, misty before the air

And I will seek the road back, wondering why

I dreamt a dog

I dreamt a dog:
long ears and a
whip tail;
tan face and a
jet body;
deep eyes and a
pink tongue. [more]

Edge

Does the blade know the stone

strips the faintest whisper of steel

from the edge it leaves behind ?

Does the stone know the stolen steel

that clings to it, changing its face ?

The best conversations ......

I saw your eyes today

I saw your eyes today on a scowled face. I was on the bus from Brixton to Kennington. Last week, I caught your smile on a foreign waiter when I looked up from my drink. [more]

Stranger stories

Inside a want that was not known as such.

Outside a train perforated the familiar blackness.

The iron tide of my childhood.

Behind every window a life.
